Get Ready for Fall Football with a Custom Media Room
Experience Premium Home Entertainment
The fall season is already right around the corner, and for many football lovers this means it’s game time. Are you planning on entertaining guests? If you plan to host friends and family for football games or other sports-related events, then you’re going to want a crystal-clear, feels-like-you’re-in-the-stadium display and audio that immerses you in the action. Is it time to invest in a bigger screen or an entire room filled with premium audio video?
Today, families in the Lake Oswego, OR area and around the country are choosing media rooms as a viable option instead of a dedicated home theater for all of their home entertainment needs. Here is a guide for what you need in order to prepare for football season this year.
Which Screen or TV Should I Choose?
We’ll work within your budget to deliver a custom solution that really wows your guests. We recommend you upgrade to 4K Ultra HD so you can watch the football game in vivid color and see every little detail. Since there are more pixels on a UHD TV, you can also sit up closer to the screen without the image getting blurry.
Want to watch multiple games at the same time? A video wall would be the perfect solution, which is a grid of TV screens that can either make up one large image, or multiple at the same time. If having the biggest screen available is important to you, we suggest you go with a projector and screen instead of a flat-screen TV. There are models that can be used in daylight, and also ones that perform optimally in darker spaces like a dedicated room.
Surround Sound or Soundbar?
Flat-screen TVs have very small audio components, so you’ll need a soundbar, speaker set or surround sound system to get the higher quality, fuller and more robust sound you want.
A high-quality soundbar is a good choice for watching sports, but if you want to watch movies in your media room too, a surround sound system would be a better investment. You could also buy 2-channel speakers and place one on either side of the screen to boost your audio. For more bass, place a subwoofer right in between the two speakers.
What is the Best Remote?
In the past, lots of equipment meant lots of controls. But today, integrators can unite all of your technology into one cohesive, simple system. With integrated controls, you can open one app on your mobile device and pick your room, channel, volume setting and more. Control4’s app also allows you to save settings in “scenes” and then name them. So you can pick a volume level, channel, and dim the lights, then save it as “Sunday Night Football” for future use. Starting and ending the game with ease will make the experience even more fun and luxurious.
If you still enjoy the feeling of holding a remote control, Control4 also has a universal remote that comes with a bright LED screen, personal profiles, and backlighting. You can change the channel and the room’s lighting level, too, with the same device.
Custom Décor & Seating
One of the many benefits of working with Room Service Integrated Solutions is that we can customize your home. Want a Seahawks-themed living room? We work with interior designers and architects to create unique rooms for families. Pick any type of seating you want -- recliners, bean bags, comfy sofas, or traditional leather theater seats. We’ll make sure everything looks and sounds amazing to bring you a truly custom entertainment experience you won’t find in many other homes in Lake Oswego.
